First Coast School of Real Estate: Policy & Procedure Terms and Conditions
1. Enrollment Requirements:
- Upon the first day of classroom instruction, each student enrolled in a Pre-Licensing Sales course must present their state-issued photo identification. If taking post-licensing or continuing education courses, they must also present a copy or printout from www.MyFloridaLicense.com verifying their active Real Estate license
2. Recording Policy:
- Classroom sessions are not to be recorded. Recording devices are strictly prohibited in the classroom. Courses with a ZOOM option may be recorded for audit documentation by the Instructor according to state guidelines and regulations. By accepting these terms & conditions, students agree to potential recording during online sessions.
3. Smoking and Breaks:
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in all licensed locations. Adequate break times will be provided during sessions.
4. Food and Beverage Policy:
- Food and beverages may be permitted during sessions at the discretion of the instructor, provided they do not disrupt the class. Students are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workspace and disposing of any trash.
5. Refund and Attendance Policy:
- No refunds will be issued within (21) days of a course beginning. However, there will always be an option to transfer your existing registration to one of our later course dates within 12 months of your original registration. Students may miss up to 10% of classroom time per Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation guidelines (8 hours for the 63hr Pre-Licensing course). Exceeding this limit will disqualify the student from taking the end-of-course examination. Makeup hours may be provided at the instructor’s discretion within 30 days of the course ending date, at an additional cost of $50/hour at no less than (3) hour time blocks, and can be either in person or virtual.
6. Grading and Retake Policy:
- Students failing to achieve a passing grade must wait 30 days before retaking the final exam, however the retake must be within one year of the original exam date. A fee of $150.00 is applicable for a second final exam if the student does not wish to take it on the next courses final exam schedule. If the student fails the second exam, they may retake the course within three months at a discounted charge of $200, plus the cost of any updated materials and/or textbook.
7. Disruptive Behavior Policy:
- Students exhibiting disruptive behavior may be dismissed from the class at the instructor’s discretion, with no refund due.
8. Payment Policy:
- Full payment is due upon registration to reserve a seat for the course. Grade reports will not be issued until all tuition, fees, or any other outstanding balances are paid in full.
9. Grade Reporting:
- Grade reports will be issued after each course. Physical copies of grade reports are available for a fee of $25.00. Otherwise, Course Pass Letters will be emailed directly to each student.
10. Class Size and Schedule:
- The school reserves the right to limit the number of students in the classroom and to cancel any course, refunding any tuition paid. Schedules are subject to change without notice. A minimum of five students per class is preferred, though smaller classes may be held if approved by the Instructor and Education Director/Owner.
11. Employment Recruitment Policy:
- Recruitment for employment opportunities with real estate brokerage firms must be conducted outside of prescribed classroom instructional time. Noncompliance should be reported to the Florida Real Estate Commission.
12. Prohibited Items:
- Weapons are strictly prohibited in all FCSRE courses and locations.
13. Schedule Adjustments:
- The instructor reserves the right to adjust breaks, lunch breaks, and the start/end time of the course based on a majority vote of the students.
By registering for courses at First Coast School of Real Estate, students agree to adhere to these policies and procedures. Violation of these terms may result in dismissal from the course without refund.
